As part of our CSR programme 'Bee Aware - Bee Responsible', we have completed the construction and installation of the first bee hotels at Minthis. The Commissioner for the Environment, as well as representatives of the Cyprus Beekeepers' Association and the Cyprus University of Technology, supported an event unveiling the first bee hotel in November 2019. They assisted with the installation within the resort's grounds and emphasized the importance of bee hotels, which contribute to the enhancement of biodiversity by increasing the population of pollinators and the degree of pollination.
Bee hotels are a shelter to lay eggs, stimulating the population of ‘solitary bees’, an important pollinator. This campaign is one of many activities within the ‘Bee Aware – Bee Responsible’ programme and we are actively involved in achieving the UN Agenda 2030 Sustainable Development Goals.
