苏州金鸡湖高尔夫俱乐部将灌木的种植面积逐步减少，改用松树皮等有机覆盖物覆盖裸地。松树皮长期覆盖于土壤表面有利于保持土壤透气性，减少土壤水份蒸发，保水保肥，改善土壤微环境，抑制杂草生长，同时松树皮有机质含量非常高，有机质含量达90%以上， pH值稳定，盐份含量较低(EC值约0.25ms/cm2)，对植物安全有效。富含植物生长所需的氮、磷、钾、钙、镁等营养元素，且肥效期长，能逐渐转化为有机肥补充土壤养分。松树皮物理结构稳定，表面积大，容重小(约250-350kg/立方米)，材质轻，覆盖操作简单。灌木面积减少后，一方面节约了原先维护所需的水、肥料、农药、机械、人工成本，另一方面也增添了球场的自然原生态美感，同时实现了农林加工生产废弃物循环再利用，“变废为宝”。

The club minimises shrub planting and applies organic mulch to cover bare soil areas. This long-term soil coverage improves soil permeability, enhances the soil environment, inhibits weed growth, and reduces soil water evaporation. Over time, the mulch naturally decomposes into organic fertiliser, enriching soil nutrients. This approach also reduces the need for water, fertiliser, pesticides, machinery, and labour for maintenance, while enhancing the landscape aesthetics of the course and contributing to the urban ecological cycle.
