To mitigate the risk of wayward golf shots damaging property and endangering residents near Hole 4 at Yas Acres, a strategic planting initiative was undertaken. A total of 35 Date Palms, 12 Parkinsonia Trees, and 13 Azadirachta Indica Trees were strategically planted to serve as protective barriers and redirect golfers away from the villas.
These newly planted trees not only provide physical protection but also enhance the biodiversity and visual appeal of the area. They contribute to carbon sequestration and serve as nesting and feeding grounds for bird species while providing habitat for small mammals in their root systems.
Moreover, these trees offer essential shade and shelter for both humans and wildlife. During hot weather, the trees provide cooling shade for streets and release water vapor into the air through their leaves, contributing to a more comfortable and sustainable environment.
