Golf courses aren't always regarded as the most environmentally friendly of places by the public as they often think we are high consumers of water, fuel and fertilisers, but by engaging with local groups we are able to highlight the benefits that golf courses provide.

We gave a talk to a local branch of the Corona group about the varied habitats that we have on the course and the work we do to manage them with regard to both flora and fauna. In addition to the talk, we also gave the group a tour of the course to show them the habitats firsthand and how both golf and wildlife can share the same area and flourish together.

By engaging with local groups it is possible to change some of the misconceptions they may have previously had about the golf industry.
