When our aging ICE utility vehicle needed to be upgraded, we looked at battery powered alternatives to reduce our CO2 and NO emissions. After trialing a Jon Deere TE electric gaitor the head greenkeeper decided it met all the teams needs in terms of personnel and material carrying capacity.
The greens staff can now move around the course quickly and quietly without disturbing golfers and wildlife. It has not only reduced our emissions but should increase efficiency as staff will not have to keep stopping when nearby golfers are playing a shot.
