A key feature of our success at Whitley Bay has been our ability to engage with the wider community. Communicating important topics such as projects, environmental work and general golf course information have been done using drone flights, giving a different perspective of the golf course and club. A winning combination using modern technology combined with the professional standard of video production directly improved the public perception of the club and resulted in a direct positive impact on our financial sustainability. Videos produced in-house have been used externally by companies, groups and governing bodies to enhance their own situation and communicate important subjects worldwide. Our future plan is to increase the amount of information we share with both customers and the wider community through the use of social media platforms, publications and newsletters. One thing that is certain is the continued use of our drone will be pivotal to any future improvements.
