Heritage Golf Club Le Château, part of Rogers Hospitality, continues to make strides towards a circular economy by prioritising effective waste management across its operations. Through the Heritage Resorts Waste Management Division, waste is collected, sorted, weighed and channelled for recycling across all Heritage business units, including the golf course.
In the last financial year, 68.61% of the site’s total waste—more than 37 tonnes—was successfully diverted from landfill. Recyclables included plastic, cardboard, paper, glass and metal. The team also works closely with local partners such as Plankton, who repurpose crushed glass bottles into sand, and Sealife Organics, who convert green waste into organic fertiliser. These both support the reuse of materials and the reduction of waste at source.
