Contributing to a circular economy by composting our green waste

Previously, due to space constraints, we were compelled to dispose of our green waste, missing out on the opportunity to embrace a sustainable practice – composting. However, this year marks a significant shift in our approach. We have entered into a collaborative agreement with a local farmer, instigating in a new era in our waste management.

Under this partnership, our green waste will no longer go to waste. Instead, the local farmer will transform it into valuable compost. This rich compost will serve a dual purpose – nourishing the farmland in our region and contributing to the principles of a circular economy.

The impact of this change is substantial. By recycling our green waste into compost, we not only enrich local agricultural land, but also substantially reduced our carbon footprint. In fact, this shift has allowed us to eliminate the need for 20 semi-trailer journeys that would have otherwise been required for waste disposal.
