Haga Golfklubb has transitioned to recycling stations on the golf course, with separate bins for different types of waste (plastic, paper, bottles and general waste).
By doing so, we are not only encouraging golfers to properly dispose of their waste, but also making it easier to recycle. The significant reduction in general waste by over 60%, demonstrates the effectiveness of this strategy in promoting environmental sustainability. It sets a positive example for other golf courses and recreational facilities to follow suit in implementing eco-friendly practices.
Overall, it is a commendable step towards creating a greener and more responsible environment. The recycling stations were built by students at a local craft school. By doing this, we reduced the cost significantly, and are helping the community to train new craftsmen.
