For the past seven years our Assistant Professional Phil Richards has been delivering sessions to the local Royal School for the Deaf. These sessions have been at both the golf club and the school and have allowed almost every pupil at the school during the year to try golf.
Over the last few weeks the current group have been on our driving range working on striking the ball and understanding how to get the ball airborne from the mat. On the final week they were on the putting green working on aim and distance control along with a game of 'golf pool'!
Phil has sessions planned for the start of next year at the school which will be delivered to the younger pupils in the sports hall using our tri golf equipment. Hopefully the sessions have helped to inspire some of the pupils to take up golf in the not too distant future.
