Designed with sustainability as a core guiding principle, Limassol Greens is proud to share our first major environmental milestone as we embark on our GEO certification journey. Developed on a former citrus plantation, the course has been carefully designed to preserve and enhance the native Mediterranean ecosystem.
By planting more than 30,000 trees and incorporating native xerophytic vegetation, we have created a thriving habitat for local wildlife. We are also proud to be the first golf course in Cyprus to feature drought-tolerant Tahoma 31 bermudagrass. Combined with a state-of-the-art Toro Lynx irrigation system, this carefully selected turf enables us to significantly improve water efficiency, reduce fertiliser and chemical inputs, and lower our overall maintenance footprint, all while delivering premium, year-round playing conditions.
As we begin our GEO certification journey, we look forward to demonstrating that world-class golf and environmental stewardship can go hand in hand.
