Bug hotel built from recycled materials

Adjacent to one of our woodland paths, we've created an environment for insect activity to thrive. Known as a 'Bug Hotel' timber from around the course was stacked with leaf and organic matter packed into the voids. Holes were drilled into the timber to create additional habitat opportunities. Whilst situated in a woodland setting, all golfers pass by the bug hotel twice in their round creating opportunities for comment and positive PR. Insect populations are broadly assessed annually.
