Hirsala Golfissa asennettiin 50 linnunpönttöä vuonna 2017. Pöntöt sijaitsevat väylien reunuspuissa ja toimivat samalla etäisyysmerkkeinä pelaajille. Pöntöt ovat väriltään valkoisia(200m), keltaisia(150m) ja punaisia(100m) ja ilmaisevat matkan viheriön keskelle. Pelaajat ovat olleet innoissaan tuplfunktion omaavista linnunpöntöistä, jotka ovat sekä ympäristöystävällisiä, että tekevät pelaamisesta helpompaa. Pöntöt on itse tehty kierrätetystä puumateriaalista .
2021
Hirsala Golf installed a total of 50 bird boxes in 2017. The boxes are attached to trees located right on the edge of fairways and serve as distance markers for players. The colour of the boxes are white, yellow and red and they indicate the distances of 200m, 150m and 100m respectively to the centre of the green.
Players have loved the duel-purpose bird boxes that are environmentally friendly and also make the play easier. The boxes are made by our staff on site from recycled wood material.
