Following extensive research of sustainable energy options, Luffenham Heath Golf Club decided to install a 150kW biomass heating system. This system, which runs off wood chip, provides a more sustainable and environmentally friendly way of heating the clubhouse, pro-shop and two greenkeepers' cottages.
In addition to lowering greenhouse gas emissions, the club has seen the benefits in terms of running costs, expecting a significant overall return on investment over the 20-year lifespan of the boiler.
