We continually explore ideas for new projects that are beneficial to our environment. Examples of these include: encouragement of natural roughs, installation of bird boxes, creation of log piles and wild flower habitats.
Simple initiatives like these have big outcomes by increasing habitat types and areas and helping promote biodiversity on golf courses, which is beneficial far beyond our club as a whole. In addition, we also have numerous very productive bee hives located near our maintenance buildings and the clubhouse. Bees are one of the most important pollinators for both wild and domestic plants. Honey has been harvested by humans since prehistoric times and we are proud to continue this tradition. The honey is very tasty!
