Cosmopolitan Golf & Country Club è all’avanguardia della sostenibilità idrica da oltre 25 anni. Tutto è iniziato nel 2005 con l’installazione di un vivaio sperimentale per cultivar di bermuda dwarf in collaborazione con l’Università di Pisa, e la riconversione del tappeto erboso del campo pratica con bermuda Tifway419; nel 2007 sono stati riconvertiti tutti i tee di partenza, con notevoli risultati sul risparmio idrico e sulla presentazione di queste superfici. Dopo una prova triennale con una varietà di bermuda ultradwarf abbiamo intrapreso nel 2022 la riconversione di tutti i green, per migliorare la giocabilità durante tutto l’anno e ridurre ulteriormente i consumi idrici

Cosmopolitan Golf & Country Club has been at the forefront of sustainable water management for more than 25 years. It all started in 2005 with the installation of an experimental plot for dwarf bermudagrass cultivars in cooperation with the University of Pisa, the first of this kind in Italy, and the switching of the driving range turf to bermudagrass Tifway 419. In 2007 all the tee surfaces were converted to bermudagrass, with great results in terms of water saving and course presentation.
After a 3 years trial with a variety of Ultradwarf Bermudagrass, we started the reconversion of all the green complexes in 2022, in order to improve the playability all year round and to further reduce the water consumption.
