Quinta do Lago recently installed a new washing system for our golf machines, which recycles the water used for cleaning machines.
The Waste2Water water recycling system removes a wide range of potential organic contamination arising from washing of equipment, including: oil, petrol, diesel grease, degreasing agents, etc. The water is cleaned and continuously re-used as wash water via the integral wash hoses.
The 100% closed loop system re-uses typically over 90% of all wash-off water (approximately 10% is lost due to evaporation and vehicle drive-off). This new system will have a very positive impact on water resources in Quinta do Lago, reducing water consumption and reusing water in a more sustainable way.
