In May, to honour Mental Health Awareness Month, we organised a series of well-being workshops aimed at activating the golf course as a space for mental health and relaxation. Over four weeks, expert practitioners led sessions in art therapy, music therapy, and mindful movement, including yoga, held across our 9-hole course, in a secluded private practice area, and other communal spaces.
These curated workshops offered community members the chance to reconnect with nature, unwind, and find balance outdoors—benefits that golfers enjoy every day. Sessions were available on a voluntary donation basis, with all proceeds going towards future wellness programming.
Following the success of this initiative, we plan to introduce “Wellness Wednesdays” in 2025. This year-round programme will invite local practitioners to lead regular classes and clinics that support mental health and well-being for our community.
