6-hole course grows participation

Fife Golf Trust

Scotland

In 2018, Fife Golf Trust developed a plan to create a golf development centre at Dunnikier Park Golf Course. Working in collaboration with a range of partners including Dunnikier Park Golf Club, Fife Council, schools, disability groups and Scottish Golf, a project was drawn up with the aim of engaging new participants into the game and creating a community asset.

A 6-hole short course was designed and built in a sustainable way – utilising innovative construction methods, developing skills of Fife Golf Trust staff, and recycling and minimising waste wherever possible. The finished course has holes named after local schools and can also be used as a full-shot practice facility with driving range mats and covered bays planned.
