For the past 16 years, the team at Portmarnock Golf Club have taken a natural approach when it comes to course management. During this time we have not applied any insecticide or fungicide to the links and where possible, carry out hand weeding.
When it is needed the team will carry out spot spraying of selective herbicides to reduce chemical inputs. This move away from chemical use has also seen an increase in biodiversity around the course.
