For Sustainable Golf

In recent years it has become clear that golf is better, more successful and more resilient when it conserves resources, fosters nature and engages positively with communities.

Around the world new developments and existing golf facilities have been saving money as a result of working with nature and drilling down on resource efficiency. Attention to environmental compliance has gone hand in hand with risk avoidance. More international and national associations are now positioning sustainability as a central pillar in the future success of the game and a core part of their strategies. Professional tours, events and even some leading players have recognised the fundamental need to take action, to do the right thing and in the process protect if not enhance their brands and reputations.

In addition, we are seeing golf inspire and influence others – in local communities; amongst other sports; through large and small companies connected to the game; and into supply chains - as highlighted by the rapid growth in ‘eco-products’ for equipment, apparel, machinery and other materials.

This is all representative of a growing international community, coming together around a common purpose – to advance sustainability in and through golf.”

There are even a growing number of examples that demonstrate that staff and golfers have become more closely engaged, generating pride and loyalty in the process.

Combined, this is all representative of a growing international community, coming together around a common purpose – to advance sustainability in and through golf.

It’s a community the team at GEO are proud to guide, support and recognise – for the benefit of the sport and for society at large.
